States Are Passing E-Waste Legislation

So far, 19 states, plus Illinois have passed legislation mandating statewide e-waste recycling. Several more states are considering legislation in 2009 (in yellow below). All laws except California use the Producer Responsibility approach, where the manufacturers must pay for recycling.
